Climate change, ecosystems and heritage management
Daniel Olago, a Rhodes Scholar, is Professor of Geology, and heads the Department of Earth and Climate Sciences, and Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation, University of Nairobi. His research interests span the broad field of environmental geoscience, including Quaternary science, water, climate change, environment and human linkages. He has been involved in capacity building activities on global environmental change for a diverse range of stakeholders at grassroots, practice, management and policy level. He is Lead Author for the recent 6th IPCC Report and the 4th report that won the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007.
